One really cannot put a finger on a specific style for the sound of Modern Day John. They have always just written and played what came from their hearts. There is a definite fondness for loud, fat, groove based sounds. Along with that sonic boom is the unmistakable, upfront lyrical content that makes MDJ a powerful witness. Taking listeners to a different place when they experience the music is what they do best-- taking the listener closer to God. MDJ wants to make people think about what is really important. They want to call believers to action and show unbelievers the saving Grace that is only found in Jesus Christ.
